Foreign reporter in East Africa discovers United Nations & other international organizations are highly disliked

The UN and other relief organizations “come off as listless and are widely disliked in places like eastern Africa.”

“For everywhere I went, it was the same: the NGO staff were uninterested and unwilling,” says James Jeffrey, a freelance journalist. “That goes for the United Nations, too.”
