Polls reveal British people prefer clean break from EU over second referendum

The most popular option for the UK’s next step? This is a “No Deal” where Britain ditches a soft Brexit deal with the EU and trades with the bloc on World Trade Organization terms, an ICM poll of 2,046 adults found.

It was conducted after PM Theresa May’s withdrawal agreement had suffered a historic defeat in a House of Commons vote.

A separate poll of 1,021 British adults by the Sky News network found that 56 percent oppose a second referendum.
